MXP UEL Header for FRS / BRZ

For the price I am very happy.  I gave me what I wanted, less orders (comes with overpipe also) and performance bump, and interesting noise.  My car is currently not tuned (doing it within 2 weeks) but I have not had any problems.  Sounds like a subaru just a lot louder, when installed with an exhaust and front pipe they create an amplifier (which is obvious but should still be stated).  Definitely a head turner.

This header sounds way better then i could have ever imagined. I have it paired to an Invidia N1 cutback and it has a nice deep rumble. No rasp! This header gives your subaru the rumble it deserves. I currently don't have a tune for the header but i can notice a little less torque dip from just the header. This header also comes with an overripe. For the price you can't beat that deal!!!

I couldn't be happier with the sound and quality of this piece. Installation was simple and straightforward, the result is beyond what I expected. This is how the car was meant to sound from the beginning. I did install this piece alongside the MXP Comp RS Catback, Torque Solutions motor mounts and transmission mount insert, and a new throwout bearing (it decided to do a 'sploding), so my resulting sound is a little different than what some might end up with but I guarantee that even if you run this header with a stock catback you'll be happy with the nice Subie rumble you'll have as a result of the header.
I will definitely recommend having the CEL Eliminator attachment tightened in BEFORE you install the header because the passenger side one has a splash guard (maybe the side of the fender well...it was kinda late and I was tired) that makes it impossible to get a good stroke length on either a ratchet or a wrench, but an O2 sensor socket is your best buddy here.
I would confirm with customer support whether or not there are gaskets included for the header itself and not just the overpipe since mine only had the overpipe gaskets, but it could have been a shipping fluke from the manufacturer. In any case, the set is less than $20 from OE so it isn't a huge deal either way, but you might be doing this install on a daily with no other transportation so you don't want to be almost done and have to bum a ride for gaskets.
All in all this is the perfect sound and power upgrade if you're looking to get a little more oomph out of your 86, especially when paired with a good catback and running a tune.

Ok be ready to smile. I have the UEL paired up with the MXP exhaust and absolutely love it. Definitely turning heads left and right. Only con gaskets weren’t included but the shop was able to work with it.
