Beat Sonic FDA9 Shark Fin Antenna for 2014 Subaru BRZ

The new BeatSonic shark fin antenna for the BRZ is great!  Color match is perfect. (I got the Satin White Pearl)  Fitment is also perfect.  Matches the curve of the roof.  Great reception on AM and FM.  Styling is much nicer than the previous version.

I ordered the Beatsonic FDA9 Sharkfin Antenna during the initial ordering stage on ft86club. I ordered the WRB, and was one of the few that got in after the initial stock ran out. The vendor was great with communication, letting me know it might be 2 months before I got the part. To my surprise, it arrived about 3 weeks later. Looks great, much better than the stock "whip" antenna. Fits the curvature of the '13 BRZ Limited perfectly. Installation was very easy, the included template helped. I spent a long time making sure the alignment was just right so I didn't glue this down crooked.

Because of the way the WRB paint reflects light, it looks like the antenna is much lighter than the body at some angles (such as standing at the driver's door in afternoon sunlight.) However, this is because the angle difference between the body and the antenna. The paint actually matches perfectly.

Satellite Radio and SatNav reception seem perfect with no change from before. Regular FM reception is still perfect, but I've noticed that some of the HD Radio stations don't seem to pick up as readily as they used to. However, I rarely (if ever) listen to local radio, so it isn't an issue for me.

Most importantly - This antenna looks awesome. I've gotten several complements since it's been installed on the way the antenna looks.

This is the best antenna out there for the 86. The 61K matched my DGM BRZ perfectly. Customer service was some of the best also. Shipping was super fast (2 days max) and had my parts installed as soon as they were delivered on my door step.

Arrived about 2 days after I ordered it and it came safely packed in a box with a ton of foam packing peanuts. Comes with a template, alcohol wipe, instructions, and of course the antenna. Bit of a pain to get it perfectly lined up, but it looks great once you do!

Solid, quality product. Has a slight run in the paint on one side but it is very minor. Color match is decent. Haven't noticed any loss of reception either which is fantastic. Great improvement over stock :)

Wouldn't expect anything else from FTeightysix. Perfect color, shipping, easy install.

Shark fin looks great on the car! There is some reduction in radio reception, which may be an issue for those in areas with weaker radio signals. However, HD radio signals still come in clearly.

Overall, great buy!

Paint match is perfect. Size is great. Super easy installation, and I haven't noticed any reception loss. So overall is a win, win, win.

Install was easy, everything that you need is provided, works like a charm and gives the 86 a sleeker look. No more remote controlled car antenna
